Jack is working on an April date for the spaghetti feed at the school.
Mike is working with the Friends of Zippel to target legacy funds for Zippel Bay State park improvements and has an upcoming meeting with the county board.
AIM Fishing tournament will be in Baudette the 3rd weekend of August.
SWCD - Josh Stromlund
Josh is the Director of the SWCD. The first topic of discussion was the Wheelers Point Sanitation District. This includes eight resorts and six small businesses. A feasibility study was down in this area and with a result of a high priority to upgrade the system. SWCD anticipated full implentation of a center pivot irrigation system by Fall 2013, depending on funding.
Next we discussed the Bostic Zippel Watersheds. SWCD clean water partnership grant to assess water quality. The NRCS federal resources helped modeling and soil fingerprinting in the area. A report has been developed with summary and public hearing in April.
